The Bears have hired Mike Martz, who used to work with head coach Lovie Smith in St. Louis, as their new offensive coordinator. The hiring comes after earlier reports that Martz had flown to Tennessee to meet with quarterback Jay Cutler, making him the only candidate to do such.

Martz, who will replace Ron Turner, won the job after the Bears' search for a new offensive lasted nearly a month.

This will mark the third offensive coordinator Cutler has had in as many years and potentially the last of the Lovie Smith era.
