Most teams have reached the 81-game mark, and that means it's time for the 2008 Midseason Awards!

There have been big surprises in 2008, along with many disappointments. Plenty of boos and plenty of cheers. So with out further adieu, the Midseason Awards.

American League

MVP: Josh Hamilton, OF, TEX (.312/79 RBI/19 HR)

Cy Young: Cliff Lee, SP, CLE (11-1/2.34 ERA/90 K) 

Rookie of the Year: Evan Longoria, 3B, TB (.270/47 RBI/15 HR)

Most Surprising Team: Tampa Bay Rays (49-32, First in AL East)

Most Disappointing Team: Seattle Mariners (31-50, Last in AL West)

Coach of the Year: Joe Madden, TB

Best Divisional Race: Central (White Sox, Twins, Tigers—separated by five games)

Most Dominant Pitcher: Francisco Rodriguez CL, LAA (32 for 33 SVs)

Best All-Around Fielder: Kevin Youkilis, 1B, BOS (.998 F%/.313 BA/50 RBI)

Most Improved: Carlos Quentin, OF, CHW (.288/19 HR/61 RBI)

National League

MVP: Lance Berkman, 1B, HOU (.364/21 HR/67 RBI)
