NYI Fan CentralSenior Analyst IDecember 27, 2016

New York Islander Fan Central has its early update for 6/30 with commentary in the blog on the moves and the articles.

A second full blog looks at how come several teams with on and off ice records/problems worse than New York does not have it's primary paper and beat writer reporting no one will sign with their teams and looks once again at Newsday.

Star Tribune: Michael Russo reports the Islanders are one of several teams that could have interest in Brian Rolston if Tampa Bay cannot close a deal Monday with him after the Wild traded his rights for a conditional draft pick.

Boston Globe: Kevin-Paul Dupont reports the Islanders are one of a few clubs who could inflate the market for Senators' defenseman Wade Redden with a big contract offer.

Calgary Sun: Report Edmonton traded forward Jarret Stoll and defenseman Matt Greene to the Los Angeles Kings for Lubomir Visnovsky. The Colorado Avalanche have re-signed defensemen John-Michael Liles and Adam Foote.

Bob McKenzie reported on TSN John-Michael Liles and Adam Foote were both resigned by the Avalanche here. Darren Dreger reports on the top free agent defenseman.

New York Islander Fan Central will be having a live interactive blog Tuesday 7/1 at 7pm (no registration required) to discuss the first day of free agency and what Garth Snow may have done for New York.
