Late Sunday afternoon, it was announced that the Edmonton Oilers had acquired Lubomir Visnovsky from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for Matt Greene and Restricted Free Agenet Jarret Stoll.

Visnovsky is the play-making, offensive minded defenseman the Oilers need. It was also no surprise to see Stoll going the other way, since General Manager Kevin Lowe has been shopping him around as of late.

The only thing I don't like about this deal is that the Oilers give up Greene, a tough defenseman, when the Oilers were already lacking in the toughness department.

Also, now that they are bringing in Visnovsky, look for Lowe to try and move Joni Pitkanen for a forward, especially if he can't find the one he is looking for through free agency.
