New York Jets: Chad Pennington Should Be the Starter

As a New York Jets, my main concern for this season and future seasons is who is going to play quarterback. I will be the first to say, I want Chad taking the snaps!

I know this is a bit of a shocker, and may even outrage some of my fellow Jet fans. But the truth is Pennington gives the New York Jets the best chance to win football games.

Throughout the years Chad Pennington has been criticized for his arm strength and inability to win big games.

However, the Jets have made some outstanding additions to their offensive line. It may not be as stellar as some of the lines Kevin Mawae anchored, but it is one of the best in the league.

This brings me to why I feel Chad Pennington gives the Jets the best chance to win: Pennington is the master of play-action. With the newly revamped O-line giving the Jets a legitimate running game with Thomas Jones in the backfield, Pennington can throw the ball like he did in seasons past.

Chad Pennington has playoff experience and is one of the smartest of quarterbacks playing the game today.

Jets fans should give this guy a shot. Let him show you what he's got. Trust and he will show Jet fans what it feels like to win again. Maybe he can even bring us the long awaited and overdue Super Bowl championship this team longs for.
