The week-or two-between the NFL conference championship games and its Super Bowl is always the time where I get myself into "baseball mode".  Baseball is the only sport I can read about year around. Living in Metro Detroit is a blessing for a baseball fan, although Detroit has been given the name of "Hockeytown", I believe it is really a "Baseball Metropolis". When the Tigers were terrible in the early 2000s fans didn't show up to games but it wasn't because they didn't care.

This decade for the Tigers will be led by names like Miguel Cabrera,Justin Verlander,Rick Porcello and Austin Jackson. Just typing those names made me excited for this season and beyond.
