According to ESPN's Michael Smith, Hue Jackson will be the new Offensive Coordinator for the Oakland Raiders.

Hue Jackson was supposed to interview for the same position with the Chicago Bears today.

Could it be that Jackson would rather work with JaMarcus Russell than Jay Cutler? One has to wonder.

While Russell has not been able to produce at a high level for a variety of reasons and his dedication and work ethic have been questioned, most people seem to think he's a quality young man.

Cutler, on the other hand has not been able to get along with anyone but Mike Shanahan and has at times seemed uncoachable. Some have even said he could be the Jeff George of his era.

I think this bodes well for the Raiders.

Jackson is a quality coach whose services were obviously in demand from other teams. Take that Buddy Nix! He chose the Raiders as much as they chose him.

Things are starting to come together Raider fans. With Jackson aboard there is hope that the offense can turn it around.

If he can develop Russell and the young receivers and the Raiders draft well, the future is bright indeed!
