This Sunday will be the start of the journey to WrestleMania with the huge pay per view classic known as the Royal Rumble. The Royal Rumble has produced some of the most classic moments in WWE history, now I know that the pay per view is Sunday and that it will be a stellar event but who is going to win the match itself? Now I am no expert picker at these events but I am going to throw out three men that I think deserve to win the Rumble this Sunday.

Ted Dibiase

Now Legacy hasn't gotten on a huge roll since their stellar rivalry with Degeneration-X but that doesn’t mean that Ted couldn't be a legit contender this year. Ted's match with Randy Orton back in June impressed a lot of critics because it proved that he can hang with the best in the ring and can be entertaining as a competitor. People love surprises and I am sure that the Royal Rumble will produce several this year but if they have Ted win it then it will be viewed as a shocker. If Ted does win then I can expect a great main event at WrestleMania.

Now I know that Edge hasn't been in a WWE ring since July however Edge and Chris Jericho did have a falling out which left the option for the WWE to pick up this rivalry when he did come back. Edge has been rumored to comeback this weekend at the Rumble so this could be the perfect springboard to Edge coming back in the WWE. 2008 had John Cena shockingly come back and win the event setting up his run against Randy Orton and Triple H at WrestleMania 24. I know Jericho is not  a world champion but the WWE still has their Elimination Chamber pay per view next month and this could lead to a short lived Y2J title run into Mania against Edge. The only knock against Edge is that he may have ring rust, he has been in a title match at WrestleMania the past two years, and that Jericho has already had a strong run as World Champion. If the WWE doesn’t have Edge win then still expect him and Jericho to have a strong run into Mania as a grudge match but don’t be surprised to see Edge be the winner of the Royal Rumble.

John Morrison

Back in 1995, Shawn Michaels was in a huge brawl with Diesel going into WrestleMania, the WWE felt like that HBK needed to be built up in order to successfully believe that he was ready to main event a WrestleMania so the WWE had HBK enter the Royal Rumble as number one and win the match. That one match spring boarded HBK's status as a main event player and ever since then, HBK has had a hall of fame caliber career. Now fast forward to 2010, do you see another HBK type of wrestler in this business today? I see one and his name is John Morrison. John Morrison has a wrestling style that is a wonderful blend between the high flying moves like a Jeff Hardy or Rey Mysterio, or he could be a technically sound guy in the ring. This is almost the same style that Shawn had back 95 and people were entertained in his matches. Morrison has had great matches ever since he has moved over to SmackDown and became baby face. His wonder matches with Edge, Jericho, Umaga, and countless others has really propelled his stock a lot plus his did have an absolute classic match against Rey Mysterio last September to become the IC Champion. Morrison really is an entertaining performer each time he wrestles and he can make the audience believe in his abilities. If the WWE feels like they need to push a new star, then your man has to be John Morrison.

Now these are just my alone opinion however I would love to hear your imput on this topic and maybe give me some ideas on what the WWE should do with these three guys. Thanks and have a great afternoon.
