The Boston Bruins' Five Biggest Overachievers and Underachievers

I think it's safe to say this season hasn't been exactly what Bruins fans were expecting.

After last season's magical run that saw the Bruins capture first place in the Eastern Conference and make it to the second round before being ousted by Scott Walker and the Carolina Hurricanes, expectations were high.

Well, those expectations have crashed and burned. The Bruins are on a five-game losing streak, including being blown out 5-1 by the worst team in the league, the Carolina Hurricanes.

They now find themselves out of the playoffs entirely and have left fans like me asking what the heck happened.

Anyway, back to what the article is all about.

The Bruins have mostly been underachievers this year—I'm looking at you, Dennis Wideman—but there have been some players who have played greater than expected. So without further ado, here they are.

As always, feel free to voice your opinion down below.
