Patrick Carpentier Gets His First Career Pole at New Hampshire

Michael VoyerSenior Analyst IJune 27, 2008

Patrick Carpentier has had some problems in the Sprint Cup Series, crashes, wrong place, wrong time stuff. The usual when it comes to the 10 car but Patrick made New Hampshire's pole his own by taking the top qualifying spot away from former Sprint Cup series champion Bobby Labonte on Friday.

This could be the break that Carpentier has been looking for, but keep in mind this is just a pole not a win...yet.  Patrick still has a lot of work to do before he can start thinking championship runs.
