Katelyn GrabarekSenior Analyst ISeptember 1, 2016

The Cubs dropped their final game of the homestand, 11-4, on Thursday, behind starter Jason Marquis.

Marquis was tattooed for seven runs over four innings, suffering his first loss since May 13.

Marquis gave up five runs with two outs in the third inning, throwing 32 pitches before getting the final out.

The Cubs managed to get 10 hits in the contest; however, they were all singles.  Daryl Ward came off the bench and was able to net two hits.

The Cubs are set to face the White Sox this weekend. Ryan Dempster will face off against Jose Contreras on Friday. The Cubs swept last weekend's cross-town series.
