Alissa Flash, better known as Cheerleader Melissa, has left TNA.
She was formerly known as Raisha Saeed for the better part of a year before debuting as "Future Legend" Alissa Flash. Since then, she has put on some seriously memorable matches with Hamada and Sarita, among others.
Although she hasn't been wrestling lately, she was still a significant part of that roster, especially with her great skills as a wrestler.
This follows news that Awesome Kong might have requested her release as late as Tuesday. This follows the reported incident with Bubba the Love Sponge.
Neither have yet to officially confirm anything. While Alissa's news comes as a sad surprise, as she is a truly great wrestler who just needed to be taken in a new direction, the possible release of Awesome Kong would send some serious shockwaves through TNA, and quite frankly, would tank the Knockouts Division, and I say that with all honesty.
Kong has a monstrously popular image for that company in terms of being "not like the WWE." Her absence would completely annihilate the Divison, as there is absolutely no other heel who could fill her shoes.
Let's hope we get official updates soon.
