University of Buffalo Quarterback Zach Maynard has left the program.
His play was up-and-down when starting for the Bulls. He finishes with 2,694 yards, 18 touchdowns and 15 interceptions in 2009.
Some believe Maynard left due to the graduation of receiver Naaman Roosevelt, his roommate and good friend.
This comes off a year which the Buffalo Bulls suffered injuries, one of which to star running back James Starks.
Head coach Turner Gill also left the program to coach at Kansas.
New coach Jeff Quinn will need to figure out a replacement quarterback. Freshman Jerry Davis is the lone quarterback with any experience on the roster. He was 8 of 15 for 145 yards and one touchdown in five games. Two other quarterbacks, Freshman Alex Dennison, who's never thrown a pass, and walk-on Cory Jorgensen, are unlikely candidates for the starting job.
Buffalo finished the year fifth in the MAC West standings, with a 3-5 conference record and a 5-7 record overall.
