The 5 Worst Professional Stadiums of All Time

We've all been there, done that. Been to that venue, seen that fight, drank that beer, and paid that parking. Yes, we've done that.
I thought it would only be prudent at this time to make a list of my all time worst professional stadiums for fan experience.
I'm sure many of you will chime in with your selections and that's fine.
Since it's unlikely that anyone can visit all pro sports stadiums, I will comment on the ones that have affected me the most over the years.
Sit back and crack open a cold one.
No. 5: The Orange Bowl, Miami, Fla.
I know I'll hear it from die hard 'Cane and Dolphin fans, but there is no argument here. Separate the product on the field from the utter shambles that was the Orange Bowl.
Situated in Little Havana, the stadium provides very little parking to the point where you could be forced to park in someone's backyard for a hefty fee.
I hope you speak Spanish or have a friend who does, or your car may be there for a while (I have many Latino friends, thank you).
Have to go to the Head? You're better off peeing in a cup. Which is what I think most did anyway. The bathrooms are below horrendous.
The seats are back-breaking hard, and I hope you like heat. In September, an afternoon kickoff will be tough to handle.
The stadium does have some of the most passionate fans around, but offers little else in the way of a pleasant experience.
Oh yeah, they tore it down, so now it doesn't matter.
No. 4: Tropicana Field, Tampa, Fla.
If it seems like I'm picking on Florida, I'm not. This place happens to be one of the most morbid venues to watch a sporting event ever created.
The place looks like an airplane hanger, has terrible sound, and is populated by only the few die-hard faithful of Rays fans.
This stadium just has a negative aura to it. I felt like I was in a funeral parlor.
No. 3: Giants Stadium, East Rutherford, N.J.
When I was at Rutgers, we used to play our big games at Giants Stadium. Yes, I said big games. The likes of Penn State or Michigan State.
The stadium is not bad as far as view of the game, but if you're an opposing fan, you better have thick skin brother.
Giants fans are merciless, especially on the NFC East contingent.
In the winter, the wind blows so hard and in so many directions, it feels like you're on top of Mt. Everest.
The traffic on the N.J. turnpike on game day is severe and can be confusing to navigate in and out of.
No. 2: Joe Robbie, Pro-Player, Landshark, Dolphin, etc. Stadium, Miami, Fla.
This concrete jungle is not bad to watch a football game; it's when baseball season comes around that this giant jungle become a sauna.
For years, many have complained that this stadium is way too hot to sit and watch a baseball game in the midday sun.
Guess what; they are right. I live in South Florida and it is very hot.
Not to mention that in the everyday in the summer there is a thunderstorm that prompts rain delays.
The concessions are obscenely priced and the place attracts only the most die-hard of Marlins fans.
For all of this, however, the Marlins managed to consistently field a fairly good team. There is a new stadium now in the works.
No. 1: The Vet, Philadelphia, Pa.
Having been there hundreds of times, I can stake my claim to the worst professional stadium ever constructed.
Philly fans, of which I'm one, are some of the most passionate fans on earth. Unfortunately for them, the Vet never did them justice...or vice versa
From the filthiest restrooms to drunk and disorderly fans, this place takes the cake, or the cheese steak.
They even had a makeshift court and jail in the stadium to summon those who got out of hand.
I've seen more than a few epic fights in the 700 level of the Vet and had my fill of warm beer in plastic cups (The Philly Franks were good).
The stadium is a zoo and the field like playing on concrete.
As a Philly sports fan, I have to do the unthinkable and crown the Vet No. 1.
