Heels Make Bleacher Report Happier Than Faces

I saw this little incident that happened on this weeks Raw that made me think about why the Internet community seems to pine for heels more so than faces.

The last segment at end of Raw went something like, DX won their match ( Surprising much?), DX are about to start arguing, John Cena comes out and said he will win the Royal Rumble, Big Show does the same thing. Melee ensures, DX ends up on top with Cena and Big Show out of the ring.

All is good in the WWE Universe as peace, order, and way of life has resumed back to normalcy.

But then HHH throws HBK over the top rope, oh no, the WWE Universe is in shock. But the good folk of Bleacher Report are excited, many of our crazy theories like HHH vs HBK at Wrestlemania, HHH turning heel, the end of DX, and many other ideas may happen.

Being from New Zealand, I like to turn to Youtube to get my Wrestling fix. WWE Raw tends to be on YouTube 4 days before it's on TV so I like to watch it on the Internet. A lot of the comments seemed to stem around "OMGOSH, HHH is turning Heel."

Maybe he is, maybe he isn't. I have found him boring since Evolution because he just bores me when he is a face. I like Triple H the Ass Kicker, not Triple H the midget thrower.

Triple H has this attitude and this Swagger, usually seen during his heel runs or when he's in an intense feud (Randy Orton 2009).

An example of my Heel Makes Bleacher Report Happier Than Faces would be Chris Jericho. When Chris Jericho, as a face returned to save us from Randy Orton, Everybody was elated.

Eventually he got boring, and the closest Chris Jericho got to the title as a face was when I played Road To Wrestlemania on WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 (it also features ECW).

Then Chris Jericho changed with his 2008 feud of the year with Shawn Michaels.

Chris Jericho as a face tends to be a upper midcard staple. Chris Jericho as a Heel carried the company for about six months. The Parasites hated him; the wonderfully enigmatic people of Bleacher Report loved him.

I couldn't get over his amazing promos because he was a great heel. Chris Jericho won the World Heavyweight Championship twice.

Another example of my theory was when a promising wrestler and some hanger-on Jannetty type from the Slammy Award Winning Tag Team John Morrison and The Miz.

John Morrison was meant to be some wrestling rebirth of Shawn Michaels, and The Miz was meant to fade into obscurity eventually ending up somewhere between McDonald's and TNA.

I'll be honest with my assessment 10 months after the split. John Morrison seems to be heading to the top card while The Miz seems to be mid-card, holding the coveted US title.

But when they were a heel tag team, nobody said John Morrison lacked mic skills. Everybody thought JoMo was the better talker and the better wrestler, but when Morrison turned face, Mic Skills were JoMo's only failing.

In my opinion, JoMo heel = Jomo World Heavyweight Champion. But Smackdown needed more Faces so JoMo can try to learn how to be a decent face for a while.

But The Miz, he's an average wrestler who was given the ability to trash talk the greatest wrestler in the history of wrestling, "SUPERMAN" from the moment he walked into Raw.

The Miz has shown that he can make the WWE Universe truly hate his annoying guts. He put on a hell of a promo last week; too bad MVP ruined it. Anyway, people think that The Miz is a much better speaker, but to me it's just because The Miz kept his heel persona.

The wonderful townfolk of Bleacher Report tends to love heels. They can say whatever they like. Just like in life, it's easier to be booed for being an asshole than to be cheered for being a nice guy.
