The preview of why the hurricanes will be a title contender in 2010!!! This is the year i believe the canes will make a run for the championship. If all of the 5 things that are in the slideshow fall in place, the canes will be bringing home the BCS title back where its suppose to be and let the country know that THE U IS BACK!!!! So FSU and UF better get ready to watch domination.
He will be a better quarterback next season. He will learn more in the offense and will have plenty of weapons to get the ball too. Travis Benjamin, Lyron Byrd, Thero Collier, and highschool teammates Aldarius Johnson and Tommy Streeter.
The defense will be much better starting off with the secondary. Brandon Harris proved he can be matched up with any reciever. Demarcus Van Dyke Played solid this year and both are in for a big year. The safties will have depth and competition with Ray Ray Armstrong, Vaughn Telemache, Jared Campbell, and Ryan Hill. Linebackers will be great with Colin McCarthy, Sean Spence, Jordan Futch, Ramon Buchannon, etc. Only problem is replacing Darryll Sharpton at MLB. The D-line must step up and get consistant pressure on opposing quarterbacks. Allen Bailey will finish off his career strong and Marcus Forston must step up and become dominent.
On your right you see Damian Berry. He most likely will be the starting tailback. He proved that he is an explosive, hard runner between the tackles when he got his opportunities. The Canes will also have Lee Chambers, Mike James, (Cooper most likely will miss next season), And incoming freshman Storm Johnson and Edugardo Clement.
One thing that i believe the Canes need to do is PUT TRAVIS BENJAMIN AS YOUR KICK RETURNER!!!!!!!!! He Clearly can take it to the house at any moment. As punt retuner the canes should put both Benjamin and Collier so teams wont try to kick it away for either one.
I am not saying they must play cocky but they must play confident. We saw that when the canes play with swagg they can be the best team in the country. They played with swagg against USF, Georgia Tech, Florida State, and Oklahoma. They must learn to play like that every week and they can be champions.
