South Africa's young pace bowler Wayne Parnell has been signed by the Delhi Daredevils for this year's IPL competition. Parnell played for South Africa in the Twenty20 World Cup last, year and was hugely impressive, he also has had some county experience for Kent. Parnell made his Test debut against England last week as South Africa drew the series 1-1 against Andrew Strauss's men, Parnell attracted interest from both the Daredevils and the Deccan Chargers but he was eventually sold to the Daredevils for $610,000. The Delhi Daredevils have reached the Semi Finals of the tournament for the last two years, but they will be hoping that by having a pace bowler of the calibre of Parnell in their side, in addition to some world class batsman such as Gautam Gambhir, Virender Sehwag and Tilkaratne Dilshan, in their ranks, they have a real chance of going all the way and winning the title in 2010.
