Bubba the Love Sponge vs. Awesome Kong

If you haven't heard by now there was a horrible earthquake in Haiti. And in another news, TNA's new interviewer, “Bubba the Love Sponge” is a radio personality who is known for his lack of politically correct speeches.

A tweet he posted after the earthquake that destroyed most of Haiti said and I quote "I say f--- hati. Why do we have to take care of everybody? our country is in shambles. Bubba".

Now someone else already addressed this here on bleacherreport but I am going to reiterate that I understand what Bubba is saying, heck New Orleans is still a wreck in a lot of parts, even after four years.

No this isn’t the time or the place for politics but all journalist, media members, radio hosts, TV anchors, and personalities all have a certain level of professionalism when it comes to a lot of things.

Natural disasters that have the eventual loss of over 100,000 men, women, and children are included.

Bubba should know that if he wanted to say this, he should have done this in a better way. Bubba has come to release an apology but that is not enough for forgiveness.

TNA wrestlers apparently agree with me as Awesome Kong punched Bubba the love sponge during Monday night’s TV taping. Both Bubba and Awesome Kong were sent home to cool down.

There is zero backstage heat on Awesome Kong reported by multiple sites and there is a lot of heat on Bubba. Awesome Kong had raised over $5,000 for Haiti relief and she felt personally insulted, as do many.

My opinion is that Bubba should be fired from TNA for this. He is a well-known talk show host who was in the eyes of the media and fans alike.

Any member of TNA represents TNA at all times and you should conduct yourself with appropriate behavior.

If you do not do so the company has every right to fire and should fire you. If you want the TV time and the media that comes with it you should behave in the correct way.

What do you think?
