There are reports that are confirming that catcher Bengie Molina has re-signed with the San Francisco Giants for a one year deal. The details are not yet known. Daily News Live on SNY broke the news a few minutes ago. It was reported earlier that Bengie Molina had rejected an offer from the Mets.

It was reported that Molina rejected a two year deal from the Mets to sign a one year deal with the Giants. Questions are being raised as to why would he reject a two year deal from the Mets to sign a one year deal with the Giants. The details of the offer and the contract he agreed to have not yet been confirmed.

Where do the Mets go from here? What happened with the negotiations between the Mets and Molina? Where did the deal fall through? Maybe the Beltran situation and how the Mets handled that was a turn off for Molina. Maybe the Mets "patience" and not wanting to bid against themselves.

The Mets appear to be turning their attention to the pitching market, Pineiro and Sheets.
