Kevin Steele: Tennessee to Hire Clemson's Kevin Steele as Defensive Coordinator
It's being reported that Kevin Steele will in fact become the new defensive cooridinator for Tennessee. Steele denied rumors last week that Tennessee had contacted him about the cooridinator position, but those denials look to be a smoke screen. Steele is supposedly waiting to meet with his Clemson players before going public with the news. All signs are pointing toward Tennessee for Steele, though.
Steele was formerly an assistant at Alabama under Nick Saban and a linebacker at Tennessee in his playing days. Steele also served as a defensive cooridinator at Clemson. It now appears Steele will soon be working under the Vols' new head coach Derek Dooley.
These developments have been flying under the radar, but as soon as Steele meets with his players expect it to hit the news wire.
