Kyle Wellwood Clamied by Cancuks

Wellwood was drafted by the Toronto Maple Leafs in the fifth round (134th overall) in the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. The 5' 10'' 180 lbs. center had eight goals 13 assist for 21 points in the '07-'08 season with the Maple Leafs.

On Tuesday June 24th, the Maple Leafs placed the center on waivers where he was claimed by the Vancouver Canucks the following day, June 25th. Wellwood will continue his career with the Canucks where he will try to have a better season than last year.
