The 15 Hottest Female Athletes I Could Find on Mike McD's Slideshows

For those of us familiar with Bleacher Report, there is one man who leads all writers in article "reads" and because of his famous slideshows, he leads by a mile.

This man is none other than Mike McD. Despite posting just 89 articles here on Bleacher Report, he has received over 5.4 million reads. Nobody else on the site has reached the one million mark.

Mike has done great research on his favorite female athletes as well as the ever popular WAGs (wives and girlfriends of athletes).

He has ranked the hottest tennis stars, the hottest cheerleaders, the hottest fan bases, and so forth.

But while I agree with many of his selections, we don't always see eye to eye. Therefore I decided to go through his slideshows and pick my favorite hottest female stars.

Now why would a featured columnist like myself, who usually just writes about his local professional teams, post a hottest female athletes slideshow?

Well, I figured why not? Most people who know me will tell you I have a pretty good taste in women and I'm willing to bet most of my Bleacher Report readers would agree.

Worst case scenario, this slideshow gets very few reads because perhaps Mike McD has a copyright on these types of slideshows (IDK, just thought he might) and BR deletes it.

Best case scenario, BR puts it up in the famous "guilty pleasures" section on the front page and I get a bunch of extra reads I otherwise wouldn't get. Perhaps maybe my first gold medal for a "hot read" (5,000 reads).

Now since most of you probably aren't even reading this, I'll just stop rambling and get to the list.

No. 15 Sarah Burke

Sarah Burke is a free style skier who knocks the socks off most of us sports nuts. I may not be as big on skiing as my older brother but if more girls with skis and poles looked like Sarah I might just start heading up to the mountains more often.

No. 14 Biba Golic

A hottie who plays ping pong? Is that not every college guys dream? A girl who can just kick back and play some good old table tennis but also can make you speechless is a killer combination.

Oh and I forgot to mention this in the opening, but part of my good taste in women is that they have to cute first and foremost. None of this "but-her-face" nonsense. The face is the most important part of anyone's attraction to anyone.

Biba Golic is cuuute.

No. 13 Alona Bondarenko

This tennis "star" (I can admit it, I don't follow tennis much at all) is simply stunning. I may not know her world ranking or care to look it up but got to give her credit for her exquisite appearance. Women don't get much cuter than Alona Bondarenko.

No. 12 Danica Patrick

By now, the whole world is aware of Danica Patrick. The Indy Car driver who I hear may be switching to NASCAR (not sure if she is or not, as a west coast guy I don't follow racing) is almost always on any female athlete list and this is no exception.

Clearly one of the most beautiful women in sports today, Danica Patrick.

No. 11 Kristi Leskinen

Who woulda thought? Two skiers on a top-15 hottest female athletes list is pretty impressive for a winter sport. But Kristi Leskinen can bring the heat to my skis any day.

No. 10 Niki Gudex

This one is for my dad. He's into mountain biking and traveling to different countries. So for him, this Australian professional mountain biker is definitely a girl he would both relish the chance to meet. Talk about a hot female athlete, Niki Gudex is astonishingly beautiful.

No. 9 Ashley Harkleroad

Aye yay yay (trying to sound like Alpha from the Power Rangers) got to love skirts in tennis. Ashley Harkleroad brings some serious sexiness to a sport I should start to watch a little bit more.

Say, wasn't there a rumor they were putting the better looking tennis stars on the center court at tournaments? Maybe I should go to a tournament one of these days and watch the match on the center court.

Maybe miss Harkleroad will be playing.

No. 8 Maria Kirilenko

Maria Kirilenko is absolutely beautiful. And she brings that down to earth beautiful that makes any guy think he has a chance and that makes her twice as hot in my book. Sometimes guys can tell that a girl won't give them the time of day but Maria looks like the type of girl to give a guy a chance. I know I would love one.

No. 7 Allison Stokke

Ahhh everyone's favorite pole vaulter comes in at No. 7 on my list. The famous track star makes me wish I had started pole vaulting in high school when I contemplated joining track. Most my friends ran track and the girls out there were always cute.

But being a hockey player, I had different priorities. However, you know there had to be a pretty strong reason for me wanting to join a sport with no contact. A chance to meet girls like Allison nearly drove me to skip hockey practices.

No. 6 Gina Carano

I'm at a loss for words. A hottie who can kick my butt? Gina Carano of the MMA has the total package. I'm left speechless.

No. 5 Ashley Force

The hottest woman in drag racing? Yup, wouldn't of heard of the sport if it weren't for Ashley Force. Her best feature is my weakness. That smile, O M G.

No. 4 Maria Sharapova

To be honest, I'm not as high on Maria Sharapova as other guys but that doesn't mean she can't come in at No. 4 on my list for her legs alone, god damn.

No. 3 Ana Ivanovic

Just like my favorite sports host, Mike Wilbon of ESPN's Pardon the Interruption, I have a crush on Ana Ivanovic. One of the current up and coming tennis stars is absolutely gorgeous and has that girl next door look that makes guys drool.

No. 2 Maria Verchenova

Natalie Gublis? No, not for me. Paula Creamer? Ehh. But Maria Verchenova? WOW.

This LPGA bombshell is everything a guy good want for in the looks department and the fact that she plays golf just makes her even hotter.

To be honest I didn't think an athlete I hadn't heard of until today would be able to rank this high on my list but cmon! She is gorgeous!

No. 1 Anna Kournikova

Call me old school if you want, I don't care. In my mind there will never be a hotter "athlete" than Anna Kournikova. She may not have lasted very long in the tennis world but her pictures certainly won't ever go away and in my opinion we all benefit from more sexy photo shoots of Anna because she is just that beautiful.
