C - Wilt Chamberlain in his Lakers' years - Yep he was the 2nd man or maybe the 3rd man on that Lakers team behind the "Mr Clutch" Jerry West and Elgin Baylor. What funny is when Wilt started to play more defense, outlet pass, and reduced his FGA's then he started to getting his rings. Thanks to the coach Bill Sharman who introduced Russell's game to him.
Notice how I put him as the complimentary player, yep he was all time great, however he was the complimentary player during his Lakers' years.
Yep Wilt was the complimentary player at that Lakers' team, don't get me wrong he was still good but his coach asked him not to shot as much like he used to, Wilt gladly did and as the result he got his rings. If you notice he didn't average 30 PPG in the Lakers but he still won ring, so what's better? Average 50 but won nothing or played efficient but got ring?
It doesn't mean he was a complimentary player throughout his career though, just during his Lakers' years.
