Despite reports to the contrary, it appears Duke Football Coach David Cutcliffe might not be out the door just yet.

ESPN is reporting that sources are telling them he will stay at Duke.

This day in age, sources are likely to mean the janitor at the Tennessee Athletic Director's office, but it would be a great sign for Duke.

Tennessee apparently has a list of coaches and perhaps just maybe one will bounce in favor of the Blue Devils.

I personally was critical of what I saw as an abrupt exit from Durham and I stand by that if Cutcliffe leaves. But if he decides to stay, I and others ready to throw Cutcliffe under the bus will owe the man a Mea Culpa.

Perhaps he is as good as his word, which in this day in age is a rarity. We will see.
