NFL, Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers, Brian Brohm, Matt Flynn, Editorial

GM Ted Thompson and the Green Bay Packers selected two quarterbacks in the April 2008 Draft.  In the second round, the Packers selected Brian Brohm out of Louisville and in the seventh round, they selected Matt Flynn out of LSU.  Both of these quarterbacks had successful college careers, but they were both plagued with injuries.

Mike McCarthy has stated that three year back up, Aaron Rodgers, is "the guy" and that these two will fill in the back up roles, but what's really on their minds?

Are the Packers afraid that maybe Aaron Rodgers won't be able to handle the pressure and fill the shoes of Brett Favre?

Certainly, no one can fill those shoes, but getting the Packers back to the playoffs would be considered a successful season in Aaron Rodgers' eyes.

Personally, I think Brian Brohm has the talent to start in the NFL now, but I don't think he will get the chance anytime soon if he stays with the Green Bay Packers.  I don't think Matt Flynn will ever be a good enough quarterback to start in the NFL.

Only time will tell. We'll just have to see how training camp and preseason go.
