Giants designated Vinnie Chulk for assignment. To take Chulk's place in the bullpen, the Giants purchased the contract of Sergio Romo from Double-A Connecticut. They should have sent Billy Sadler back to the minors instead. Sadler is terrible and has cost the Giants many games with his wildness.
Omar Vizquel received a heroes welcome last night in Cleveland. If you think he is great at shortstop with the Giants, you should have seen him with the Indians when he was in his prime. He is amazing.
Aaron Rowand is not deserving of an All-Star vote. His average has dipped throughout the course of the season and he never gets the key hit with runners in scoring position regularly.
