Derek Jeter is reportedly engaged to Minka Kelly. We all know who Derek Jeter is, but who is Minka Kelly? Jeter has always had his pick of the litter when it came to women. So what is Minka bringing to the table that no girl before her has brought?

I have always viewed Jeter as the George Clooney of sports. A guy who just got it. A guy who understood there was no rush when it came to the ladies. Jeter, like Clooney, would have his fun and didn't care what the public thought. This was a quality that ended up working for him as opposed to working against him.

Jeter has always been that guy. The guy with the perfect life. The guy with a different gorgeous girl at his side every other month. Those days are gone though.

Minka was born in Los Angeles on June 24, 1980. She is the daughter of former Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay, and the late Maureen Kelly. Maureen was a former Las Vegas showgirl.

Minka went to High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but soon returned to Los Angeles to pursue an acting/modeling career.

Minka's first break came when she landed speaking parts on Nickelodeon's Drake and Josh, and on Fox's Cracking Up. These small parts paved the way for bigger and better things.
