2010 NFL Mock Draft first 10
Every year the NFL draft gets bigger and more popular. For every fan who wishes they were the GM of their favorite team, mock drafts are a fun way of getting through the off season. These are my picks (so far) for how the top ten picks will go in the draft. We all know they'll change after the combine and there will be trades but this is for fun. This is my first mock, others will follow, feel free to mock it.
No. 1: St. Louis Rams -- Jimmy Clausen, Quarterback, Notre Dame
Rumors say that quarterback Marc Bulger may be retiring.
The Rams need a franchise quarterback. What are number 1 picks for? Franchise quarterbacks.
Step in Jimmy Clausen. Rams fans will cry for Suh here but with so much money already tied up in their defensive line the Rams will do the right thing and take the best QB in the draft.
No. 2: Detroit Lions -- Ndamukong Suh, Defensive Tackle, Nebraska
Th Lions will get the best player in the draft because the Rams need a QB.
Ndamukong Suh was the best player in collage football in 2009. He will be a day one starter who make a impact raight away for the Leos woeful defence.
No.3: Tampa Bay Buccaneers -- Eric Berry, S, Tennessee
Eric Berry may very well be the most talented player in this draft. The Bucs will be happy to snatch him up with the 3rd pick. Pure playmaker in the mold of an Ed Reed. BallHawk who will start right away.
No. 4: Washington Redskins -- Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State
Washington will be tempted to draft a QB here but will take the best OT in the draft. New head coach Mike Shannahan will look to sure up his offensive line and target a QB in the second round.
5. Kansas City Chiefs -- Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
The Chiefs have no offensive line, and Matt Cassel will continue to get beaten up if the they don't take a tackle. The 310lbs 6'7 Campbell will help put a stop to that.
6. Seattle Seahawks -- Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers
The Seahawks need a left tackle badly. Hasselbeck gets injured way too often. He was wearing a flackjacket for most of the season. Davis's stock keeps rising and seattle will sure up their offensive line.
7. Cleveland Brown -- Joe Haden, CB, Florida
The Cleveland Browns' pass defense is 29th in the NFL, allowing 247.9 ypg. Their current CBs are not reliable, and Haden is the best CB in college football.
8. Oakland Raiders—Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama
Al Davis goes for 40 times, and since Campbell is taken, the Raiders won't take a tackle first here either, so they will go with the best player available with a good 40 time for their position. McClain can run a 4.6, and he weighs 255lbs.
9. Buffalo Bills -- Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
The Bills rush defence made every runningback look like a hall of famer this year. Luckily, McCoy is still available. McCoy is an elite defensive tackle who will help make thier defence better right away.
10. Denver Broncos(from Chicago)—Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State
Brandon Marshall is a free agent, After being benched for their final game, He is going to leave town and cash in on a huge contract. The Broncos will want to replace him and Bryant is the top receiver in the draft.
