Last night, the Texas Rangers and DH Vladimir Guerrero agreed on a 1 year deal, with an option on the second. The Rangers are expected to pay Vlad 7 million in 2010.

Previously, Guerrero spent seven years as an Expo, and five as an Angel. This power hitting right-hander has hit 407 career home runs and has had a career .322 batting average.

What I think is funny is how good he has been AGAINST the Rangers. In over 100 games against the Rangers, Guerrero has had an amazing .396 average, 24 Home Runs, and 68 RBI's!

If Vlad can still be that good AS a Ranger, this 34 year-old could have an MVP season.

Guerrero has won an MVP award, 7 Silver Sluggers, and has been selected for 8 All-Star games.

I'm excited! I think Vladimir can do a lot of amazing things in 162 games as a Texas Ranger.
