A lightweight bout between Clay 'The Carpenter' Guida and 'The Muscle Shark' Sean Sherk is in the works for UFC's debut on the Versus Network on a yet to be announced UFC Fight Night 21 card which is set to take place on March 21. It was first reported that these two 155-pound standouts would meet by The Times of Northwest Indiana and later confirmed by numerous sources.

Former UFC Lightweight Champion Sean Sherk is looking to get back to his winning ways with this one following his Unanimous Decision loss to 155-pound rising star Frankie Edgar this past May which was his only fight for the year of 2009.

His opponent is also looking to break the losing curse following back-to-back losses to Ultimate Fighter Season One cast members Diego Sanchez and Kenny Florian. Guida is one of the UFC's most popular fighters and has a very large fan base but to remain relevant in the 155-pound division he must defeat 'The Muscle Shark'.

Also rumoured to be in the works for UFC Fight Night 21 is a Light-Heavyweight clash between Jon 'Bones' Jones and Brandon 'The Truth' Vera in the Main Event as well as a Welterweight bout between Anthony 'Rumble' Johnson and John Howard.
