GMAC Bowl a Fitting End For Senior Class
Seniors Andrew Aguila (36), Dan LeFevour (13) and Bryan Anderson (not pictured) have been through it all during their football careers at Central Michigan University. Despite playing for two head coaches and two interim coaches, the senior class of 2010 always seemed to find a path toward victory, all the while setting school and NCAA records.
There is no doubt the 2009-10 season capped off a special four years in Central Michigan University football. Since 2006 the Chippewas have:
- Won 37 of 55 games played (School Record)
- Won 3 MAC Titles (School Record)
- Attended 4 straight bowl games (MAC Record)
- Won 2 bowl games (0-2 prior to 2006)
- QB Dan LeFevour racked up over 12,000 yards of toal offense (MAC Record) and 150 total touchdowns (NCAA Record)
- WR Bryan Anderson caught a pass in 49 consecutive games (NCAA Record)
- Finished the season ranked in the AP Top 25 and Coaches Poll Top 25 (First time in school history)
According to Scouts Inc's Todd McShay several Chippewas could be wearing an NFL logo on their helmet next season. WR Bryan Anderson is projected as the 16th best reciever available in the draft, a rather impressive feat when you consider McShay has 13 wide outs in the top 100 available overall. QB Dan LeFevour is projected as the 8th best quarterback available in the draft. Kicker Andrew Aguila and defensive end Frank Zombo are also on McShay's draft radar.
Winners win. A win in the GMAC bowl was certainly a fitting end for this group of winners.
