Preview/Prediction

June 24, 2008

NFL, NFC East, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Preview/Prediction

I think since everyone else is predicting on how the NFL teams will do in the 2008 season, I think it's my turn. I will do an article for each division and then an article for the playoffs. Here we go:

This article, I will tell you my predictions for the NFC East.

2008 Final Standings:

Dallas Cowboys: 11-5

New York Giants: 9-7

Philadelphia Eagles: 8-8

Washington Redskins: 8-8

The Cowboys will have too much for any other team that plans to win the division, thanks in part to Owens and Romo.

The Giants will not have enough for the Cowboys and they will be very close in the wild card race.

The Eagles can benefit from an 8-8 season for the second year in the row. I am going to be conservative with the Eagles this season because you never know how well McNabb will be this season.

The Redskins will lose some touch this season with the loss of Joe Gibbs. They will be in there to compete, but it will not be enough.

  1. as much as I hate the Cowboys I think they will win 12 games and the New York Football Giants should finish with either 10 or 11.. I see the Skins regressing and maybe dropping to 6-10...

  2. Even though I am a huge Skins fan...I kind of have to agree with Michael, this skins team is all over the place in terms of predictions but I think that 6-10 is too bad a record for a team with this much talent...all the same, history shows that both qbs and entire offenses have to be schooled in the west coast offense for at least 2 years before really making strides...so not this season for the skins, im thinking 7-9 or 8-8 which would be good considering its their first year in this system.

    1. Read this. Perhaps it will change your mind:

  3. The Skins had a great ride last season and I really thought it would follow through into this season. I was thinking Joe Gibbs would go one more year.

It's unfortunate that a new coaching staff comes in and Jason Campbell has to learn a new system.

Cowboys, again, have a lot of talent and play great in regular season, they just need to finish the season and keep going in the playoffs.

    1. I do have the Cowboys making the Superbowl.

  4. That would be great, start small first and win the first playoff game lol.

  5. I personally don't see another mediocre 8-8 season for the Eagles. They may even give some competition to the Cowboys.
