Afridi To Play Twenty20 For Hampshire

Hampshire have announced that they have signed Pakistani all rounder Shahid Afridi to play for them in the Twenty20 Cup this summer. Afridi is one of the most talented players in world cricket indeed in 2007 he was the man of the tournament in the ICC World Twenty20 which was held in South Africa and last summer he played an instrumental part in Pakistan winning the competetion for the 1st time The two 2 English teams in the World Twenty20 will qualify for the Champions League in India and that is something which Afridi will be wanting to do with Hampshire. In 2008 Afridi played for the Deccan Chargers in the inaugural IPL in India. This year's Twenty20 World Cup will be in the Caribbean in April and it is being hosted between 3 venues, Barbados, Guyana and St Lucia. Afridi has scored the fasted ever 100 in an ODI it was off 37 balls against Sri Lanka back in 1997.
