I was struck by something I heard Mike Leach say in his recent ESPN interview. He said he was shocked that after a season in which he went 11-1 that there were people operating behind the scenes to get rid of him. (2008)

The very next news I heard on the Texas Tech saga was that Tommy Tubberville was interested in the job. Man, that clears up a lot of things. Does Tubbs just seek out these toxic situations? Both parties have moved on, with Gene Chizik making it very easy for Auburn fans to do so, but there is no way Tubbs could ever point the finger at the big-money Auburn boosters as the root of problems which used to exist on The Plains if he takes this job.

Tommy is every bit as arrogant toward administration as Mike Leach is defiant. I'm not an Auburn fan but the man always seemed to be a little "slithery."

Anyway, I'm more interested in your opinion than mine...

Auburn fans-Would you recommend TT for the head coach position at Texas Tech?
