Looks like Tiger isn't the only one getting "leied" these days.

Heck, Geoff Ogilvy got "leied" last year at the beautiful Plantation Course in Maui. (Hence the above picture!)

This year will be an interesting one for golf. No one knows how the drama surrounding the Woods family is going to play out, yet everyone seems to be putting in their two cents.

And here's mine:

While mostly wishful thinking on my part, I predict Tiger makes it back for the Masters this year. He will play in all of the majors, and at least six other events.

Here's why...

1. He has to give away half his earnings, so he needs to start making money again. He also needs to gain some new sponsors. The longer he waits, the lower his earnings potential becomes over the long haul.

2. Here's self-serving Part I: I picked him in two golf pools this year.

3. Here's self-serving Part II: I gamble on golf, hence a weekly article for you to follow along at home.

When Tiger is NOT in the field, the nice juicy high odds that you would see with some excellent players, have now diminished by 30 to 40 percent in some cases.

Please Tiger, sign the papers, write the check, take care of your kids, get a hooker, and move on (Yes, in that order).

Don't worry gang, I am still here for you in these trying times, and promise to deliver quality six packs week after week.

Listen, if you bet on all of my golfers last year to win AS WELL AS to place in the top five, you would have NETTED 154 units! If you aren't sure what that means, ask any gambler and they will tell you that number is relatively unheard of, especially when it comes to golf.

I would like to also throw a few more things at you before we move to my Yahoo! fantasy selections and our six pack for this week. Last year I picked nine winners and 34 players that finished in the top five. Of those 34 players in the top five, TEN of those guys came in SECOND place!

Stick with me kid and you will go far. I have decided after much thought that my picks will once again remain free of charge for the ENTIRE 2010 season.

I can make no promise as to what may happen in 2011.

If you would like to go head to head with me in the Yahoo Fantasy Golf League, please join me in the free public group The Fans of Hunter Mahan.

In GROUP A, I will start the ageless wonder Kenny Perry and will have the talented Zach Johnson backing him up.

GROUP B will see Stewart Cink and Nick Watney get the nod, while Dustin Johnson and Sean O'Hair ride the bench.

GROUP C is going to be led by Matt Kuchar. I will have Jerry Kelly back him up.

Group C is going to be much tougher than it was last year...

As most of you know, I do what is called a six pack each week. I pick six golfers to win or place in the top 5 of EVERY golf tournament for the entire season. The catch is that I only select players that are 20:1 odds of winning or HIGHER. This week marks an exception due to the limited field. I will be going with golfers that offer odds of 15:1 or higher. Next week for the Sony Open it will be back to business as usual.

Thirsty yet? Let's crack open a tasty and refreshing....SIX PACK?!?!

Don't forget you can hear the six pack live on http://hardcoresportsradio.com every Wednesday from 5:30pm to 6:00pm EST on the show Red Heat, hosted by Canadian legend Cam Stewart. The show is also broadcast simultaneously on Sirius Channel 98.

No. 1 Kenny Perry

91523149

Dubbed "The Man of Steel," because of his ageless strength, there's no reason to stay away from Kenny this year.

This guy is coming off ANOTHER fantastic season and is improving with age. He will be eligible for the Champions Tour this summer and is would be crazy to stray from the PGA Tour when he is playing well.

Now, Kenny has some unfinished business in Augusta...

Kapalua's Plantation Course favors and rewards big hitters that are accurate. Good news for Kenny as he ranked third in overall driving last year on tour.

Kenny was also fifth in overall money last year, so he is ready to pick up right where he left off last year.

Kenny has played this event more than anyone else in this field, and has produced some decent results, but only one top five or better. He is due.

Ladies and gentlemen, keep riding the Kenny Perry express to victory. At 16:1 odds he offers terrific value.

No. 2 Nick Watney

94001205

Watney had a breakout year last year, and appears to have found his groove on the PGA Tour. He is tall and has a natural smooth swing that produces some bombing drives.

He ranked sixth in driving distance averaging 305 yards per drive last year. This gives him a tremendous advantage at the Plantation Course.

The key to his success this weekend will be his par 5 dominance that he enjoyed in 2009. He ranked second on tour in par five birdies or better and was impressive 136 strokes under par on those very same par five's.

Watney is a young guy with a bright future on tour and he will enjoy success in 2010.

Last year he placed fifth here last year and finished fifth and seventh in his last two appearances in 2009.

Watch for Nick Watney at 18:1 odds of winning.

No. 3 Stewart Cink

94470586

This is not the face of a villain.

Yet, that's exactly what he was referred to by many after winning the British Open.

It's perception. One thing for sure, 2010 is a Ryder Cup year and this means Stewart Cink goes bananas. Get used to seeing Cink in the six pack this year.

Cink has done well in the four times he has made it to Kapalua. I would love to see him win it all, as he is a favorite to watch on tour.

Without flashy 2009 stats to throw in your face, Cink is still a good driver of the ball. He will capitalize on this skill this week. If he can improve his putting over last year starting this week, he will be in the hunt on Sunday.

I love Cink's odds of 20:1 this week.

No. 4 Dustin Johnson

89796091

Here we go with another absolute CRUSHER off the tee, averaging over 308 yards per drive.

When Dustin Johnson debuted on the 2007 tour, I knew he was something special.

In 2009 Johnson improved his scoring average by a full stroke and catapulted from 142nd to 54th in the overall world golf ranking. This includes his first win at Pebble Beach.

Hopefully, I am calling his number correctly once again.

He placed 11th at Kapalua last year, and with the way this kid hammer's his driver, he has his eye on the prize for victory this week.

Trust me, Dustin Johnson is a steal this week at 20:1 odds of winning.

No. 5 Ryan Moore

92874380

Finally Ryan Moore got a win last year!

Many have been waiting a long time for this from the promising young player, with tons of potential.

Moore should turn that potential into confidence coming into the 2010 season. This will be his first appearance at Kapalua and I expect him to embrace the challenge with an eager eye.

Moore finished his 2009 campaign placing seventh, eighth, and third in his last three events, showing he is on his game.

He will carry some momentum into 2010 which others may not have.

Moore is a great driver of the ball placing eighth in overall driving in 2009. Again, this is going to be a key stat at Kapalua.

Also, Moore is also a good putter from five to fifteen feet. If he gets a few to drop, this will catapult him up the leaderboard.

I like Ryan Moore this week at 22:1 odds of winning.

No. 6 Y.E. Yang

94022823

Holy outfit Batman!

I am not sure who helps the young Korean get dressed in the morning, but it doesn't matter. He has surpassed KJ Choi as the Korean force on the PGA Tour.

He took the Honda Classic and that PGA Championship where he bested Tiger Woods by three strokes.

Yang may look like he is straight out of anime, but there is nothing artificial about his game. He made huge improvements over his 2008 efforts, and is going to be a guy to watch this year. It will be tough to follow what he did last year, but I expect him to contend.

I like about Yang's approach shots from 125 to 150 yards. If he stays there, his leaderboard spot will be in the single digits. Not known to be long from the tee, his 293 yard average is ample to give him an advantage while playing in paradise this week.

This is a limited field, but I will declare Yang as my "long shot" this week at 33:1 odds.

Enjoy the first week of 2010 everyone!
