Arsenal's Transfer Endeavours: Just Starting or Finished already?

So it's that wretched time again as the transfer window is likely to fire up now with managers from all leagues in Europe getting out their chequebooks.

As the Euro championships are coming to a close, I'm sure there will be an array of talent on the move. Unfortunately for Arsenal, we're at that stage where some of our key assets have been linked with moves away.

Alexander Hleb, as we all know, wants a move away from Ashburton Grove. I think it's not the weather and the noise that's concerning him, its the money. The long-running saga of the Samir Nasri signing should be finalised over the next few days, so if Hleb does depart we have a replacement.

I believe Arsenal haven't as yet replaced Patrick Vieira—Mathieu Flamini was a stop-gap and not a replacement.

If Hleb does leave Arsenal for Barcelona, a hard-bargained move for Yaya Toure should be engineered, otherwise Hleb should be sold for the maximum amount and not for the 10 odd million been quoted in reports. Toure would be in line as the perfect replacement for Vieira.

Arsenal's search for a powerful central defender has also proved not so fruitful. Failed bids for Zapata and Co. have led to Arsene Wenger settling with what he has in hope that he'll have all his defenders fit and at his disposal.

However, Wenger has recently come out and admitted his admiration for Andrei Arshavin and David Silva.

So after being linked with hundreds and thousands of players until now, who will Arsenal actually sign?
