TOM TRICKERY LEADS TO PERFECTION FOR BOISE
GLENDALE, Ariz. (Jan. 4) - I guess Texas Christian missed the 2007 Fiesta Bowl. The team with the most tricks up their sleeve were at it again, as Boise State became the second non-automatic BCS team to win a pair of BCS bowl games.

Oh, and they were also 14-0 too. Not bad being perfect, huh?

The Broncos 17-10 victory over TCU may not have been possible were it not for the fake punt with under 10 minutes remaining that resulted in a 30-yard pass play from the punter on a 4th-and-9 from the Boise 33.

The end result of that drive - Doug Martin touchdown run, and a seven-point lead.

After dropping a sure touchdown pass and a turnover, the Horned Frogs had one last chance, one last drive to even the score.

Unfortunately it started on their own 1.

After a few first down passes and a questionable pass interference call against the Broncos (14-0), WR Antoine Hicks made the gravest mistake for TCU - not catch the pass and popping the ball up to be caught by Boise's Winston Venable to clinch the bowl.

Boise goes perfect for the second year in a row, and who says it won't happen again. Only one starter leaves this off-season and with Oregon State and Virginia Tech on next year's slate, should the Broncos be a top-5 or 6 team pre-season, another perfect year could result in a national championship for these bowl busters!!!
