Lionel Washington's Impact On The Raiders Defense.

The Raiders season ended with a loss at home against the playoff bound Baltimore raven's this past Sunday. While reflecting on a bitter season I was thinking of some bright spots from this past Raider season. The first year Raider Defensive backfield coach Lionel Washington did a great job with his unit. He made a hugh impact on his squad. The defensive backs were the strong point of the Raider defense this past season. They all are solid tacklers and also can make big hits. When Lionel Washington was hired by Mr. Davis many wondered if he could make this unit better. Michael Huff transformed into a solid player in his breakout season under Lionel. Nnamdi continued to dominate the opponents. Chris Johnson had a good year and Tyvon Branch was a force all year. Mike Mitchell also started to play well in the second half of the season. Stanford Routt was the only negative I could see. He continues to take bad angles and is a bad tackler. Lionel Washington was a great hire this past of season by Mr.Davis. Could he be a Raiders Defensive coordinator in the furture?
