Greetings from the sprawling city that is Royston, GA (population around 2500). A city filled with great minds (local bible college next town over). A locale bustling with fine dining (Burger King, Wendy's), shopping beyond your wildest dreams (Bi-Lo), and a late night experience you'll never forget (okay, so everything closes by 10 p.m.).
But, seriously, I thought I would come on board and share a few words every now and then on some things that are important to me in the world of sports. After all, I am a very big sports fan in many different ways.
For starters, I am actually not a new blogger. In addition to this blog, I have one started almost a year ago entitled "Hope, Households and Hockey Pucks". I'm not sure that I will be able to share with you the web address to that blog. At least you can Google it, though. Also, I'm a blogger that tends to be as "family-friendly" as possible. No profanity is allowed on this blog. I may get a little upset here and there if something's really irking me, but I'll keep it as polite as possible. Trust me--I'm no Jim Rome here. You can read more about me in the bio section of my profile.
I will probably blog about a lot of different sporting topics, but will focus a lot of my attention on my two favorite teams: the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Thrashers. Now, I'm sure that at least 75% of the other Roystonians will have a thing or two to say about the Dawgs. However, I have that feeling that even more than that won't even care about what goes on in the National Hockey League. That's fine. I do care and, thus, will share every now and then about what's going on with the Thrashers and the rest of the NHL.
Well, that's all the time I have for now. Bedtime for the children. Talk to you again soon.

Welcome to the site. I look forward to reading your insight into the NHL, not quite enough of the hockey posters on the site.

Thanks for the welcome, Jared. I look forward to sharing more NHL insights as I can. Having a full time job and two little ones to raise is quite enough to keep me occupied on a daily basis, so I'll do my best to keep the articles coming.

Right on Chris... The more hockey the better. Thanks to your Bulldogs for taking down the Gators over the weekend too.
