Mock Drafts: A Huge Waste of Time or Are They Really Insightful?

Mock drafts were fun at first, but it's gone too far.

I have grown tired of Mock Drafts. There are several Mock Drafts written on the Bleacher Report, which is great. At least on here if you don't want to read it, you don't have to.

I suffered through trying to catch up on play that I have missed on Sports Center, while they have to tell us who they think will go where.  I even have to watch it on the information tape at the bottom of ESPN programming.

They should have a breakdown show maybe the day before the draft itself, but a constant barrage weeks before the draft is getting ridiculous.

I want to watch ESPN so I can see something I missed, or something that I want to see again. I am not tuning in for them to hype up a draft that a real fan would already be looking forward to.

Don't get me wrong, I do like to hear who is trying and who is not, but I keep hearing about how the bulls may or may not take Rose. I have watched college basketball, and therefore have a pretty good idea that he is number 1 quality.

It is getting to just be insanity to hear how some people think someone is overrated and should go later in the draft.  After so many mock drafts, it just gets old.

I already had to sit through watching football mock drafts trying to see basketball scores, now I have to sit through basketball mock drafts trying to see baseball scores.

Once football season rolls around, I shouldn't have to sit through the baseball mock draft. That would just be too much.

  1. I can't stand mock drafts myself. I'd save them for columns, but off my TV.

    1. Exactly, columns you can read or not, but when they are plastered all over ESPN and you are trying to see Sportscenter, it gets irritating.
