A short while ago, I christened this a day of mourning.
Ex-Texas Tech coach Mike Leach was one of the most intriguing and beguiling characters in college football, and one of the most important.
Like Gary Patterson at TCU or Chris Petersen at Boise State, Leach's Airraid system took the kids left behind by the big programs and put them in position to succeed by stressing schematic advantage and rigorously practicing a minimum number of plays to perfection.
But any grief counselor will tell you, the best way to get over mourning is to look to the future. With that in mind, I'd like to project where coach Leach could end up returning as coach/offensive coordinator.
Here are 10 schools that have, or might have, immediate or oncoming vacancies in their offensive coaching staff, and could have reason to make request of his services. Take a look.
