Here's your chance to run the franchise of The Oakland Raiders and the season coming to an end. There are many decisions to be made. What do you do?
Do you hire a General Manager?
Do you hire an Offensive Coordinator?
Do you fire your head coach?
Who do you sign?
Who do you cut?
Who do you draft?
Who do you resign or restructure?
These like many organizations have to answer these same questions year after year to make themselves better.
Sometimes all it takes is small changes and sometimes it's takes more.
I say 1 more year to get over .500,because let's face it,replacing a coach year after year doesn't give any team a chance to be secure in there system or coach.
New systems year after year hasn't worked for any team.
Stability has to be kept in order for growth.
At times,I have questioned Cables Play calling, but that may be a matter of hiring a Offensive Coordinator or turning over the duties to Hackett or Tolner and that's all.
I say keep for another year.
I though the Defense did show improvement this year and think the players are the ones who gave the big plays.
Marshall did a good job mixing up the zone, blitzing, and the usual man to man.
The bottom line is the players play and the coaches coach.
Would you keep Marshall? If not why?
Paul Hackett had his work cut out for him with JaMarcus Russell. It's been stated that JaMarcus doesn't have the commitment as the others on the team.
Bruce Gradkowski followed Hackett from Tampa and it clearly shows he has had the commitment with the proof of his play on the field.
Would you keep him?
I say NO!
It has been a BIG distraction and if I was Cable,I probably would have lost focus when he came back.
It has been bad enough that Cable has to have his character questioned by the media.
If he's here next year,I will be questioning my fan loyalty, period.
Do you hear that Al?
Part 2 will include the players, starting with JaMarcus. Please hold those comment until then,Thank You!
