While a big deal is being made about the top part of this year's NBA Draft, a late first-rounder caught my eye as being under the radar: Ryan Anderson from Cal.

Anderson is a 6'10" sophomore small forward.  He played against Pac-10 competition, and averaged 21.4 points and 9.9 rebounds per game.  He had big games against USC and UCLA (Hello, Kevin Love!).

Anderson is the unquestioned leader of this team, and when his team needed a big game, he produced.  Anderson scored over 20 points 22 times this year, showing that his production was consistent over the course of the tough Pac-10 schedule.

He's going to be a nice addition to a team picking in the early 20s.

  1. What the???? "Hello Kevin Love"????? Big games for Anderson vs UCLA? His team lost 70 to 58, and then 88-66. He got 12pts 8 rebs in the first game (Love was 19/14!), and 15/7 in the 2nd - in that game Love only played 21 minutes in the complete BLOWOUT, where Anderson was virtually shut out till garbage time....

    What games were YOU watching????

    1. lets not 4get that on march 3 in a game that cal lost by 1, love had 22/6 while anderson had 21/8 on a better shooting percentage, proving that he can matchup with love.......

or did YOU not watch that game???

  2. That's a lot of question marks.

  3. Aaron is completely right about this kid. He will be a very good NBA player. Hes 6'10'' and very athletic, while Love is 6'9'' and slow. Anderson will be a pleasant surprise, while Love may be a bust.
