With a 2-1 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers last night, the New York Islanders dropped to 13th place in the Eastern Conference of the NHL. Although slots 6 to 14 are separated by a measly five points, the Islanders appear to be taking 2 steps back with every 1 step forward.

Being an avid fan of the Islanders, I'll be the first to tell you that they are a team with a lot of needs. None bigger than scoring! This is a team stacked with young talent, but not many goal scorers. Hence why I am begging and pleading with the Islanders to give Jeff Tambellini some burn!

Tambellini is a young and speedy goal scorer at just 25 years of age. He's only scored 44 points in his young NHL career, but this kid has potential with his wicked wrist shot! He's played in 22 games this year and has 7 goals and 12 points. Not great, but did I mention that he notched a hat trick against the Sabres earlier this year?

Tambellini hasn't seen action in 9 straight games. Can someone please tell me why Jon Sim is dressed in an Islanders uniform and Tambellni is dressed in an Armani suit watching Isles games from the Luxury Suite?
