Trevor Daley will return to the Dallas Stars's lineup in time for Tuesday's match-up against the Chicago Blackhawks after the defenseman missed five games with a shoulder injury he suffered during the most recent game versus Carolina.

He was placed on the injured reserved on Dec. 16 and was activiated by the Stars today, the club announced.

Daley was the team's second round selection in the 2002 NHL draft and second on the team as far as minutes on the ice, totalling 22:25 minutes per game so far this season.

The 5-11, 199-pound defenseman has produced five points this season in 33 games from one goal and four assists.

Daley will be in the lineup on Tuesday for the 7 p.m. ET game against Chicago.  The game will be televised nationally on Versus.
