This team is sinking.

We Started Hot, beating #2 Michigan State and the Rutgers to win the Legends Classic Tournament. Then, we fell off the map. We were as high as #13 when we lost to Syracuse. Then it should of got easy. The quick, high powered Gators got to play the Richmond Spiders in Miami for the Orange Bowl Classic. Easy win right? Wrong. We lost to the unknown, unranked Spiders 56-53. An SEC basketball team should always score at least 60 in a game!! Then, looking to bounce back after falling to #18 in the rankings, the Gators got the South Alabama Jaguars at home. That didn't go so well either. We couldn't put them away and were ice cold the whole game falling 67-66 on a late put-back by De'Andre Hersey.

Now we get the American University Eagles, the third in a stretch of 4 games that should be easy wins. We have already lost two of those. Against Richmond Alex Tyus was the high scorer with 15 and superb freshman Kenny Boyton only had 6. Against USA [yes South Alabama is USA and then the next week we play American :) ] we shot 3-22 from behind the 3 pt line and Tyus led again with 16. Dan Werner had a dismal game with 2 points and 6 rebounds.

We are a very good team, with young speedsters and a lot of potential. We just gotta step up.
