The New Jersey Devils are preparing for David Clarkson's return to the lineup, which could be as soon as Monday against the Atlanta Thrashers. Clarkson was playing a solid two-way game, with 15 points and 39 PIM prior to suffering a broken bone in his ankle. Head coach Jacques Lemaire said, "If I asked him to come back [Saturday] he would [have], but we want to make sure that he’s in good condition and he’s ready to put in the effort that he usually puts in these games."
