David Clarkson Ready to Return to the Devils Lineup

The New Jersey Devils are preparing for David Clarkson's return to the lineup, which could be as soon as Monday against the Atlanta Thrashers. Clarkson was playing a solid two-way game, with 15 points and 39 PIM prior to suffering a broken bone in his ankle. Head coach Jacques Lemaire said, "If I asked him to come back [Saturday] he would [have], but we want to make sure that he’s in good condition and he’s ready to put in the effort that he usually puts in these games."
