Gas prices, global warming, the war in the middle east, poverty, the upcoming presidential election, gang violence, gay rights, terrorism, the economy...to hell with all of it! Let's talk about whether Greg Anderson gave steroids to Barry Bonds, and whether Barry Bonds lied about it to the grand jury. You can't see me, but right now I just bought a Costco-sized case of beer and stocked up on weed (or as Jim Rome calls it, the "hippie lettuce")...you know, for celebratory purposes. Why am I celebrating? Well, because the federal government is doing what I've been preaching since the whole BALCO scandal began...get Barry Bonds and his stubborn trainer Greg Anderson. Since they'll get those two, why not go after Nicole Gestas? Who the hell is that? An actress, a supermodel...no, the wife of Greg Anderson. Honestly people, who needs to clean up the environment, or strive to become independent of foreign oil, or fix the mess in Iraq? Greg Anderson, his wife, and Barroid (I thought of that myself) "Asterisk" (that's original too) Bonds (that one I did not make up) are definite threats to society. The Terrific Trio, the Top Threesome, the Big Three. Barry Bonds, Greg Anderson, and his wife. Who needs thieves, child molesters, rapists, murderers, or gangsters in prison when you could put, dare I say, the Bay Area Three Party behind bars?

I'm sure most of you heard the news when it broke a few days ago. The lead prosecutor in the Bonds perjury trial, U.S. Disctrict Attorney Matthew Parrella, sent a letter to Gestas (once again, the wife of Greg Anderson) informing her that she is a new target for criminal investigation. The funny thing is she received that letter back in November, just after Bonds was indicted and her husband was released from federal prison. How come the public didn't know about that letter then? If that's not enough, we now know the government's interest in Gestas originated from tax-related issues. Tax-releated issues? What does that have to do with distributing and consuming illegal substances? Everything. The famous IRS has been the lead investigative agency in the BALCO scandal and they apparently believe that putting pressure on Gestas (and other family members) might help them in finally getting Anderson to cooperate against Bonds. Other family members? Why not? It makes sense, doesn't it? If she is charged for withholding information from the government she could be sentenced up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for "conspiring against the government." Oh, you mean like 9-11 or the Kennedy assassination? But wait, that would be conspiring against the American people. Isn't that nice? The feds get revenge and a nice little deposit in their piggy bank.

As we already know, the BALCO prosecutors and IRS agent Jeff Novitzky (the missing-link) have seized documents from Anderson's home which are alleged "doping calendars" and steroid regiments with the label "BB" written on it. Of course, it has to be Barry Bonds. Get this, Anderson has served a total of 413 days in prison and he hasn't testified against his best friend. Wow, they must be really close. Either that or Anderson doesn't like his country. Maybe he really doesn't have information and he doesn't want to lie by telling the prosecution what they really want to hear. Whatever it may be, it'll be his word against Barry's, assuming he will testify. You can't judge a case on a mickey-mouse thing like that. What Anderson says or what Barry's ex-mistress says doesn't mean a thing. And I ask you this, if the government really had any decent evidence supporting their claim (too bad they unconstitutionally seized the BALCO drug tests, that would've been money) then why did the judge rule the initial indictment as vague? Bottom-line, there's too many holes in this case, and Bonds' legal team will put their fingers in every single one of them.

  1. I'm not all too familiar with this situation, but going after Anderson's wife? That's kind of ludicrous.
