ESPN has just reported that Coach Urban Meyer is stepping down as the head coach of the University of Florida.

Details are sketchy at best, but Athletic Director Jeremy Foley has announced that Urban Meyer is resigning from the University of Florida.

It seems that health is playing into his decision, and he is going to focus on that and his family.

If you recall, he checked in to the hospital the night after the SEC Championship game in Atlanta.  It was reported that he stayed overnight for "dehydration", but it may have possibly been for something more serious.

Stay tuned for further developments.
