Fact: Lionel Messi's 2009 year has ended just as he wanted it to.

With the FIFA World Player of the Year honor, in addition to the Ballon d'Or, the Onze d'Or, the UEFA European Player of the Year, and several other individual titles, Messi is without doubt on the verge of making history.

The Barcelona forward also helped his club to achieve a lot a last season, as his dazzling performance enabled the Catalans to steal the UEFA Champions League trophy, as well as the Copa del Rey, and the Spanish League title.

What can be next? The 22-year old doesn't seem to be tired of praises, and he has insisted on improving even more!

According to Messi, getting his hands on the 2010 FIFA World Cup trophy is his next target, as he also looks forward to grabbing all six for Barca this season.

Will this be possible?

Well, considering the great abilities of the fabulous FC Barcelona no. 10 winger, no one can overrule the fact that, at the very least, he could be close to his wish. Share your views...
